Since 2021, Atours-lakegeneva has been guiding study groups of architects, urban planners, entrepreneurs, students, politicians, and enthusiasts from around the world with various interests. Our team is composed of collaborating architects specializing in different disciplines and proficient in multiple languages, each bringing over 10 years of individual experience in Switzerland.

Founder and guiding architect
Berta Urgel
Berta was born in Spain and, after earning her degree in Architecture, lived in several cities, including Florence, Barcelona, and Amsterdam. Since 2010, she has been based in Lausanne, where she has contributed to various Swiss architectural firms such as Architram SA and Itten Brechbühl. Driven by her passion for architecture and travel, she founded a-tours lakegeneva in 2022. Currently, she is pursuing a MAS in Heritage Conservation at the University of Geneva while working as an architect for the Chemins de fer fédéraux suisses (CFF).

Guiding architect
Miriam Schuster
Miriam earned her degree in Architecture from FHBB in Basel and gained professional experience working with various firms in Basel, Mexico City, and Lausanne, where she has been practicing as an independent architect since 2011. Alongside her practice, she teaches architectural design at HEIA-FR in Fribourg. Questions such as What architecture for tomorrow? and How to integrate the architectures of the past? drive her perspective as an architect.

Guiding architect
Joao Bola
Joao, a native of Portugal, relocated to the Netherlands after completing his degree in Architecture. Currently residing and working in Switzerland as an architect, he has accumulated valuable professional experience over the years.
Joao's keen interest lies in all aspects of sustainability in architecture, spanning from conceptual ideas to pragmatic and practical real-world applications.
