Service Description

After an introduction about the history and urban development of the city of Lausanne, we will discover the Flon quarter, a former industrial district converted into the new living center of the city. I will show you exemples of contemporary buildings made by local architectes such Brauen Waelchli, Localarchitecture and Bakker & Blanc. The tour will end at the New Museum Center, Plateforme 10, with buildings like the Cantonal Museum of Fine Arts (MCBA, designed by the architects Barozzi Veiga, and the Musée de l'Elysée (cantonal museum of photography) and the mudac (Museum of Design and Contemporary Applied Arts), the work of the architect Manuel Aires Mateus. A cultural platform to be discovered!
